Sterling American Hero Saves Lives -- thank you to all who look out for us.

October 2, 2015

YOU can have a big impact by simply reacting the way one Sterling American did yesterday. That Sterling American saved many lives.

There are others working in the rain and wind who save lives every day but this Sterling American is just a neighbor who saw something and called authorities.

A drainage pipe had been washed out 24 hours ago and it was so bad the road of a major road (Dry Mill Road) was threatened. Had this patriot not taken action and urged government action, that road would collapse with people on it. That road is closed now. Thank you to the citizen and thank you to the authorities who reacted quickly.

You are that next Sterling American. We are all Sterling Americans.

Please check any drains in your area and clear them.

VDOT crews are checking also. Sterling has over 900 storm drainage projects finished costing taxpayers $7 million in past few years and they should function okay if we keep them clear.
