FRANKENSTORM COMING AKA AS "SANDY"......Preparing for the Storm... Eugene Delgaudio Visits With Thousands in Sterling Prior To Storm....Call Me for TP?

FRANKENSTORM COMING

All the news media has been talking about is the FRANKENSTORM which will combine high winds, possible snow, and lots of rain Sunday night with potentially 3 days of no power.

You should know there is little toilet paper or bottled water left around these parts. My home phone is 703-421-4599.

I live at 46721 Summit Terrace if the phones and power are out and you need to find somebody on duty.

The entire county staff is engaged and the governors of the 3 area jurisdictions (Md, DC and Va) have declared a state of emergency for the duration of the storm.

The National Weather Service has issued a weather message: New event. High Wind Watch from Sunday 10/29/2012 2:00 AM to Monday 10/30/2012 8:00 PM EDT for Loudoun County. More information at http://inws.wrh.noaa.gov/weather/alertinfo/7946949

THERE IS A LOT MORE INFORMATION AT THIS LINK
ABOUT STORM PREPARATION HERE:

Hurricane Sandy

The storm will affect Northern Virginia in two stages: The first stage will start Sunday, as the hurricane pushes northward. Generally, most areas west of I-95 will see less rain and lighter winds than areas east of I-95 Sunday, but all residents should be alert for any changes in track.

The second stage is the one that could bring the greatest impact to Virginia. That stage will be Monday, Monday night and Tuesday, as Sandy collides with the nor'easter, and is pulled westward, making landfall somewhere on the Delmarva Peninsula. Strong northwesterly winds south of the storm could last for a couple of days, along with more rain. This more prolonged period of stronger winds (Monday and Tuesday) will end by early Wednesday as the storm slowly loses strength to our north over land.

Preparing for the Storm

Have a full tank of gas in a vehicle.
Make sure you have extra cash.
Have a disaster supplies kit ready to go.
Make sure every family member carries or wears identification.
Listen to the radio or television and NOAA Weather Radio for current information.
Turn refrigerator and freezer to maximum cold and keep closed.
Fill the bathtub and other large containers with water for bathing, flushing toilets, and cleaning, but do not drink this water.
Secure or bring inside such outdoor items as patio furniture, kids' slides, and power mowers.
Turn off propane tanks.
Shut off other utilities if emergency officials advise you to do so.

Other Resources

Please take the time to look at the Virginia Department of Emergency Management's website. It answers many questions about preparing for an emergency, how an evacuation would work, and assisting special needs citizens.

You vote for Romney for President
Allen for Senator.
Wolf for Congress

Ballot question 1 is the property rights amendment. It expands the rights of Virginians when private property is taken for public use. I will vote "YES" to protect property rights.

Ballot question 2 is the amendment related to the legislative calendar. In particular, each year after its regular session, the General Assembly reconvenes in March or April to consider the Governor's amendments and vetoes to legislation. I will vote "YES" to this.

There are bond questions for the county for fire, rescue and schools.

Have You Seen This Man? VIDEO OF LIBERAL DISRUPTER

This video is of a non-Sterling man claiming to be a reporter as he chases people at Sterlingfest and talks up a storm with rude questions.

The "man in the black shirt" is recorded (spontaneous) by several brave Sterling citizens-- genuine heros-- and the fraudelent "reporter" is expelled from Sterlingfest.
