Tax Rate on Tuesday
The county board will set a tax rate on Tuesday. The county board has decided to slightly increase spending and rejected most of my spending reduction proposals. The board did agree to reduce the rate of increase to the school board. The spending and tax rate is still too high for most of Sterling and I will again propose my spending reductions in several abbreviated motions which will likely fail. I can not support spending on this scale during a recession and will not support tax increases.
>>>ALTERNATIVE BUDGET PROPOSED
I have posted my "Supervisor Delgaudio's Alternative Budget"
with over $121,000,000 in reductions, revenue or fee increases and
elimination of certain government functions at this link.

That's One hundred and twenty one million dollars in your money to reduce the spending by this board of supervisors. Last week I attempted to close the "adult 4 H" as I call it or the "taxpayer funded hobby farmers" but was turned down 7 no, 2 yes and as a result you, the taxpayer will pay an extra $255,000.

>>>THOSE WHO SHOULD PAY THEIR TAXES ARE BEING ASKED TO PAY
If you serve our country in the Armed Forces, are visiting for a short time or are students from out of town, you are exempted from paying personal property taxes in Loudoun County. The rest of the cars sitting on our streets must pay taxes and Sterling needs repeated reports and frequent reports to the Treasurer to document these incidents.
I wrote Treasurer Roger Zurn behalf of Sterling District about many incidents of cars, trucks and out of state tags and no county stickers. Where these cars are on driveways or where there are unattended trailers I have copied the deputies or zoning that deal with that separately. Please write me at [email protected] to report any out of state tags or cars with no county stickers. Zurn has confirmed deputies are warning and fining car owners who should pay taxes.

The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) would like your

are commonly referred to as "zig-zag" markings. VDOT is seeking
your input to help determine the effectiveness of the markings and
