Sheriff Announces 40th Women's Self-Defense Workshop
The Loudoun Sheriff's Office will hold their 40th Women's Self-Defense Workshop on Tuesday, November 18, 2014.
The class is open to all female residents of Loudoun County over the age of fourteen and space is limited to 100 participants. "These free workshops are designed to provide women with the information, tactics, and options on how to protect themselves from becoming a victim," said Loudoun County Sheriff Mike Chapman.
The session will be held from 7PM to 9:30PM at the Northern Virginia Criminal Justice Academy. The academy is located at 45299 Research Place in Ashburn, VA.
Participants are asked to wear gym style clothing and athletic shoes. Participants will be taught basic self-defense techniques through instruction, demonstration and actual practice of the methods taught.
