Inmate Released Prior to Completion of Sentence Located

Loudoun County, VA-An inmate who was inadvertently released early from the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center (ADC) Monday night was located and has been taken into custody.

The subject, Christian A. Hernandez-Galdamez, contacted authorities around 5PM Tuesday to turn himself over to authorities. He was returned to the ADC without incident to complete his sentence. Hernandez-Galdamez was serving a 92 day sentence for assault on a family member and violation of a protective order, but was inadvertently released 38-hours short of completing his sentence.

The Loudoun County Sheriff's Office has launched an investigation as to how this miscalculation occurred.
