SCAM ALERT: Bogus Sheriff Phone Calls In Sterling

Sterling Getting Fraud Phone Calls

Several incidents of Attempted Fraud: residents reported they received a
call from a caller claiming to be with the Loudoun County Sheriff's Department.

The caller stated he was a detective and the resident failed to show up for jury duty. The caller asks for money or personal information.

The Loudoun County sheriff never makes these kinds of calls.
