SCIENCE AND ENGINEER CAREERS FAIR

Congressman Frank Wolf sponsors a "STEM" meeting for young adults Friday September 27 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday September 28 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Frank Wolf says "come and see 100 scientists and engineers explain what they do and show you with demonstrations of the work they do. It is at the Dulles Town Center.


"PARADE IS A GO" STILL NEEDS MONEY

Donations are coming in and more are needed.

They are half way with $1600 pledged to help with the joint Elks-Knights Columbus Day parade and they are proceeding with the Oct. 12 parade.

They now have HALF of the unexpected additional costs of $3200 for permits and county requirements or $1600 to go. This is what the Elks say:

(Quote) "Donations for the parade fund can be sent to the Loudoun Elks at the address below. Checks should be made out to "BPOE #2406", and the memo should indicate "Parade Fund". Due to the urgency of the request, pledges of such funds can be sent by email to this address.

STERLINGFEST AND COLUMBUS PARADE

The Columbus Day parade assembly begins at 8 AM, Saturday October 12 and kicks off at 10 a.m. from Park View High School south to the new Elks Lodge on Holly Avenue. The Sterlingfest begins 11 a.m. and goes to five p.m. the same day Saturday, Oct. 12.
