FUTURE OF COLUMBUS PARADE
"PARADE IS A GO" STILL NEEDS MONEY

Donations are starting to come in and more are needed.

Enough of start for leaders of the joint Elks-Knights Columbus Day parade to proceed with plans for the Oct. 12 parade.

Last night and today, I continue my long DAILY talks with the Sheriff's office and the Elks and others.

The announcement is "sponsors are going forward with plants" for the joint Elks-Knights of Columbus parade.

They still have unexpected additional costs of $3200 for permits and county requirements.

The Elks have now written community leaders and neighbors in Sterling:

(Quote) "Donations for the parade fund can be sent to the Loudoun Elks at the address below. Checks should be made out to "BPOE #2406", and the memo should indicate "Parade Fund". Due to the urgency of the request, pledges of such funds can be sent by email to this address.
