RESTORE STERLING VICTORY PARTY BIG SUCCESS

Thank you to the wonderful friends and family who turned out.

EVERY DAY THERE IS A NEW urgent CHALLENGE:

FUTURE OF COLUMBUS PARADE QUESTIONED.

For past 3 days, I am in long DAILY talks with the Sheriff's office and the Elks and others. I am fearing an announcement on Monday that the joint Elks-Knights of Columbus parade may be cancelled due to unexpected additional costs of $3200 for permits and county requirements.

I have written community leaders "I feel this is a big enough issue for discussion or further consultation and I am open to ideas." I am in reciept of a letter from one of the sponsors of the parade:

(Quote) "Donations for the parade fund can be sent to the Loudoun Elks at the address below. Checks should be made out to "BPOE #2406", and the memo should indicate "Parade Fund". Due to the urgency of the request, pledges of such funds can be sent by email to this address.

Loudoun Elks Lodge #2406
PO Box 1397
Sterling, VA 20167-8441 " (unquote)
