1000 SIGNATURES RESULT IN BAN ON PANHANDLERS

DELGAUDIO PETITION BRINGS HISTORIC LAW

(THIS is a public statement released earlier)

Thank you to each of 1000 signers to cards, letters, petitions and phone calls who signed or supported by various means, The Delgaudio Petition to Ban Beggars at busy intersections to the Board of Supervisors pass a law to Ban Panhandlers at Busy Intersections. (I know its repetitive)

You and 1,000 Sterling Americans know panhandlers are a safety hazard at many of our busiest intersections.

These aggressive solicitors, mostly non-Loudoun residents, are walking in the middle of our roads and begging for money. They distract drivers, disrupt traffic, and contribute to accidents.

The Board of Supervisors voted unanimously on March 13 to pass the law.

Please write by email to [email protected] to thank them for Banning Panhandlers at Busy Intersections!

AND PLEASE Donate to MS at (http://mda.org/ways-to-help ) as the ban halts their busy street activities.

SHOOTING NEWS

Update on Fatal Shooting on Pullman Court In Sterling

The shooting took place shortly after 2:30AM Sunday when a resident reported that their house alarm was activated. As the homeowner went to investigate, he discovered an unknown male inside their home.

(Please click on the link for the last report as of March 21 from the Sheriff)

The Loudoun County Sheriff's Office continues to investigate a shooting that occurred during the early morning hours of March 17th. Loudoun County Sheriff's Deputies had been dispatched to the home in the 45900 block of Pullman Court for a report of a burglary with shots fired by the homeowner.

At this point in the investigation, it appears Caleb A. Gordley, 16, of Sterling, Virginia, mistakenly entered a neighbor's residence on Pullman Court through a rear, unlocked window. There is no evidence to indicate Caleb entered the home with any further criminal intent. The 16-year-old Park View High School student lived on the same street as the home. Based on interviews, it was learned Caleb had been drinking alcohol with friends that evening.

The shooting took place shortly after 2:30AM Sunday when a resident reported that their house alarm was activated. As the homeowner went to investigate, he discovered an unknown male inside their home.

HOMEOWNER GAVE VERBAL WARNINGS

The homeowner reportedly gave verbal warnings and discharged the firearm as a warning. As the teenager proceeded up the stairwell and into a hallway, the homeowner discharged his firearm several times. The teenager was struck once in the left rear shoulder after passing the homeowner in the hallway and walking towards an upstairs bedroom where other residents of the house were located. The teenager lost his life at the scene.

At this point, it appears that the firearm used, a .40 caliber pistol, was legally owned. Several shell casings and rounds were recovered at the scene.

While the issue of these minors obtaining alcohol is separate from the actual shooting, the Sheriff's Office is continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding how it was obtained.

On Wednesday, Loudoun County Sheriff's Detectives met with members of Caleb's family to update them on the latest findings in the case and to detail the circumstances surrounding the incident. The homeowner and Caleb's family remain cooperative in the investigation.

The case remains open pending a final report from the Medical Examiner's Office, to include a toxicology report. The results of the investigation are being reviewed by the Office of the Loudoun County Commonwealth's Attorney, but no final determination will be made until all the information has been received.

HAPPY EASTER; WASHINGTON POST ATTACKS KEN CUCCINELLI

The Washington Post is at it again.

They have written another editorial attacking Ken Cuccinelli where they cut and paste from the other (LIBERAL) side's talking points, and play fast and loose with the facts.

Normally the Washington Post waits till September before they start providing their full support to Democratic candidates, but they have started early this year.

Sign this petition and demand the Washington Post "inkind" their editorial writings as a donation to the Terry McAuliffe for Governor campaign.

http://cuccinelli.com/sign-the-petition-today/?utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=32713+The+Washington+Post&utm_content=32713+The+Washington+Post+CID_15f6d162a9f07dffccb0d31e414c5489&utm_source=Email%20marketing%20software&utm_term=Sign%20this%20petition

Remember, the Washington Post editorial Board has endorsed EVERY Democrat running for statewide office in Virginia for 15 years. AND they just simply foam at the mouth hate Sterling and me personally for not allowing the Post to bulldoze our
community.
