Media Attacks Continue On Board of Supervisors Over Christmas Season Display

Please write or speak Tuesday Dec. 4 at 6 PM

Sorry for the late invitation.

The official Loudoun County display is now up with a Santa, a Menorah, a Christmas Tree, and a Nativity scene up at the Loudoun County Courthouse in Leesburg.

Santa is very grateful (see photo)

Our rights are protected by 7 supervisors voting to stand by religious beliefs. (2 supervisors respectfully disagree).

I have told you that some Liberals want me out of American politics for my blunt support of the first amendment for all who wish to express their religious beliefs in the public square.

Now, they are coming out in FULL Force Tuesday night to denounce me, 6 other supervisors and our Board's decision to put the creche and menorah on the courthouse lawn.

Frequently some liberal extremists believe the constitution only allows them to speak out and forbids me, you, and other Americans from expressing their religious or political beliefs.

DELGAUDIO VERSUS THE ATHEISTS 29 YEARS AGO!

The late Madalyn Murray O'hair, who sued to get prayer out of the public schools in 1963 sued me for being critical of her politics in 1983 (just a short 29 years ago). I resisted the pressure and the law suit was dismissed with prejudice.

With this order signed by the late federal Judge Richard Bryan, I helped establish that Christians, and all those who believe in religious expression, have the right to defend Christianity against attacks by militant athiests.

Just as the late "Mad Madalyn" tried to do (God Bless Her), today's athiests are protesting and claiming the Loudoun county board of supervisors' sponsorship of the display is wrong and needs to be reversed. They are angry that supervisors believe this "holiday season" should be commemorated in some official fashion.

The Supreme Court and our Attorney General have said it is legal to sponsor "balanced" displays which is all we have done.

Please consider calling and signing up for Public Comment for Tuesday December 4 at 6 p.m. to support the board and oppose the removal of the Christmas displays at the courthouse grounds and thank 7 members of the board of supervisors for having the courage to do the right thing for all who wish to express their beliefs on the courthouse grounds in a traditional and legal fashion.

The phone number to call to reserve your place for public comment is 703-777-0204. You must call in or sign up in person for public comment. Most of you can not visit Leesburg, so please send a message by email to [email protected] to say thank you for the Board's action to have an official Seasonal display including Santa, Nativity, Menorah and Tree.
