Eugene Delgaudio: 200 STERLING RESIDENTS WITHOUT POWER

September 9, 2012

Nearly 200 neighbors are without power right now due to Saturday's storm.

If you know of power outages, please use this number below (toll free)

1-866-DOM-HELP (1-866-366-4357)

Dominion's interactive voice response system is available 24/7 and is the quickest way to report power outages and downed lines.

CAROLYN MOSS AND THE STATE & LOCAL AFFAIRS TEAM for Dominion told me the following:

"Dominion is making significant progress toward restoring power. We have restored more than 90% of those affected within the last 16 hours and expect full restoration by late tonight. Individual customer ETR's are available. Those without power should call our customer service center at 1-866-DOM-HELP (1-866-366-4357) and go through the prompts to hear their own ETR. As crews arrive in the area, ETR's may be refined.

Dominion continues to urge those who have not reported their outages to call us directly and to stay clear of downed wires and tree limbs leaning on power lines.

The hardest hit areas were in western and northern Fairfax County, the City of Falls Church and Arlington County. We had additional crews arrive last night and are continuing to bring crews into northern Virginia this morning to assist with restoration. We are confident that we have the right resources to complete the work." (end of statement)

Sterling and Loudoun has nearly 200 homes and some commercial stores without power. I will call Dominion for progress reports hourly until all power is restored.
