The board of supervisors is busy deciding this week the new make up of the county's supervisor districts, approving density packing proposals many new high rise residential units ( I will vote "NO"), pushing new regulations on the Chesapeak Bay and, hopefully may agree with my proposal to make Chickens illegal in residential areas.
I am writing, again,to ask if you are coming to the March 24 Salute to Ronald Reagan.

The salute to Reagan will take place Thursday, March 24, 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Santini's Restaurant under the clocktower across from the Burlington Coat Factory.

Directions from Leesburg; Take Route 7 East two traffic lights past Sterling Boulevard. Look for Coney Island Diner or Chick Filet or Burlington Coat Factory on the right but before the Fairfax line. Turn right into the shopping center.
Directions from Fairfax County. Take Route 7 West from Tysons Corner. Drive 15 minutes to the Fairfax line. Leave Fairfax. One traffic light into Loudoun, turn left into the shopping center (opposite Sterling Chevrolet, next to Sterling Ford which flys the largest American flag on the East coast).

I respect the board and that is why I propose my reductions. Some of them mock my ideas and these same supers offer no reductions. "Budget Worksessions Are Not For Budget Reductions" they flatly state.
My goal is to be faithful to you the citizens who deserve a lower tax rate and if I fail to obtain a tax rate cut, it will not be for lack of trying or presenting specific motions to cut spending.
I am presenting motions to reduce spending in the Schools (71 per cent of the budget) and in the county.
Most of the most severe reductions are in the county side of the government to make room for education spending. One proposal that would reduce spending by $18 million dollars is to not allow a 3 per cent pay raise for all county employees.

Former Supervisor Jim Clem wrote me and another Super a short note: "This was a very interesting video. Congratulations to the two of you for standing up to the staff and assisting the landowners in learning what is going to effect their lands. Most landowners are not informed and will find out after the damage has been done."
