An Ashburn woman who fled the United States after being indicted in July 2009 for a $50 million mortgage fraud scheme has been extradited from Turkey, completing a years-long effort by the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office and the Virginia Office of the Attorney General to bring her to justice.
Diane H. Frederick Atari is scheduled to be arraigned Tuesday at 9 a.m. in Loudoun County Circuit Court.

WA Post: Montgomery homeowner learns back yard is a no-mow zone.

This WILL happen to Sterling when the liberal majority on the Loudoun Board of Supervisors imposes the new "Chesapeake Bay Act" on us. I will vote no.

From the Washington Post: Planners in Mont Co routinely require these agreements from homeowners near streams.... homeowner "shocked" they had to remove flower bed, basketball hoop, stop mowing back yard....

Two of the four people wanted in connection with a botched home invasion robbery last week that left one man dead and another injured are still at large. The Loudoun County Sheriff's Office is asking the public's help in locating the pair.
Samuel Thomas Eaton, 27, is wanted for Robbery, Burglary While Armed and Possession of a Firearm in the Commission of a Felony. Whitney Lasik, 24, is wanted for being an Accessory After the Fact and Obstruction of Justice.
The two are believed to be together. Despite earlier reports that they might be en route to North Carolina, it is now believed that they are still in the area. Eaton should be considered armed and dangerous.
Anyone with information as to their whereabouts is asked to contact the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office at 703-777-0445.

DEAD: ONE ALLEDGED CRIMINAL, ANTHONY MILES
ONE MALE SUSPECT IN HOSPITAL -- UNIDENTIFIED.
ONE WOMAN SUSPECT IN CUSTODY-- REBECCA HOOK
AT LARGE: TWO SUSPECTS.

From combined dispatches:

The Loudoun County Sheriff's Office has identified a third suspect from the botched home invasion on E. Kennedy Dr. last Thursday.
Samuel Thomas Eaton, 27, has been charged with Robbery, Burglary and Possession of a Firearm in the Commission of a Felony. The charges stem from the February 10, 2011 home invasion robbery which resulted in the shooting of two suspects. One of the suspects, Anthony D. The other suspect fled to the same hospital and is now recovering from his wounds at Inova Fairfax Hospital.

Budget Hearings Wednesday Feb. 23, 2011

The county board of supervisor has no plans, in my opinion, to pay attention to national or local federal elections.

They plan a "modest" tax rate hike for Loudoun. Please let them know what you think.

Please consider attending and speaking against tax increases, for privatizing some government services or reducing spending and the tax rate.

Hearings will be at 3:30 and 6:30 in the board of supervisors room.
Hearings will be held on Wednesday, February 23, 2010, beginning at 3:30 and 6:30 p.m., at the Loudoun County Government Center, 1 Harrison Street, S.E., in Leesburg.

DELGAUDIO PROPOSALS FOR REDUCING SPENDING

If you are new to my distro list, I also routinely offer motions to reduce spending by $100,000,000 and these are the motions that I offered last year that were REJECTED. I voted yes for my motions.
