Vacation From Liberals Needed!

July 14, 2008

This is an ADVANCE copy of a letter to the Independent Newspaper and others.
>>>I AM WORKING HARD
Since my friends and neighbors first gave me the privilege of representing them on the Board I have been hard at work keeping Sterling Park a wonderful place to live for all of us.
>>>ORDINANCE PASSED OVER LIBERAL OPPOSITION
I created the Delgaudio Ordinance limiting the number of people in a home and sought to toughen it. I have fought to better enforce zoning rules against overgrown grass and solid waste. I have fought for a sheriff's substation to help Sterling combat gang crime, graffiti and other ills that are spilling over from Fairfax County.
>>>CALLED FOR DEPORTING ILLEGAL ALIENS
My public items on the 287(g) program even led to the Sheriff's Department adopting measures that will soon deport illegal alien criminals who threaten Sterling. These are just a few of the many ideas, proposals and legislation I have offered in defense of Sterling.........

>>>ONLY MEMBER OF THE BOARD TO OFFER SOLUTIONS
I've been virtually the only member of the Board to offer solutions to a problem that is sweeping across all of northern Virginia: illegal immigration. The blight problems that have spilled over from Fairfax County and are now spreading across Loudoun will not be solved until we toughen our zoning rules and enforce our immigration laws.

>>>ANGRY LIBERALS REACT VICIOUSLY
But as we have seen (in recent weeks ), there are those here in Loudoun who react viciously whenever an elected official speaks frankly about illegal immigration's effects on our community.

>>>> DEFEATED CANDIDATES ALL WORKED UP
I'm sure I'm not the only one who has noticed that not only do my critics tend to be candidates rejected by Sterling voters or liberal activists, but not one of them has offered any solution of their own --- other than to force Sterling residents to offer their neighborhoods as an illegal alien sanctuary.

>>>>YOU ARE OWED AN APOLOGY
If anyone is owed an apology, those who criticize my ongoing fight to keep Sterling Park a wonderful place to live should apologize to the people of Sterling for their eight years of criticism, opposition and calls for Loudoun to offer itself as a sanctuary for illegal aliens.

I, meanwhile, will continue to fight to toughen up and enforce our zoning and immigration laws. Sterling Park is too wonderful a place to live to leave in the hands of those who refuse to speak out against illegal immigration's effects on our community.

>>> SPECIAL TO THE LOUDOUN TIMES MIRROR

STERLING NEEDS A VACATION FROM LIBERALS!

(To the editor of the Loudoun Times Mirror) I wholeheartedly agree with Jason Jacks article regarding "Sterling in need of vacation from negative press"......

Sterling does indeed need a vacation.

Sterling needs a vacation from a Board so consumed with political correctness its members refuse to toughen zoning laws.

Sterling needs a break from a liberal Board that refuses to even say there are illegal aliens in Loudoun, even after deputies arrest them for multiple homicides and two prostitution rings.

Sterling needs a long rest from liberal Board members who even go so far as to publicly apologize to MS-13 gang members for offending them.

Sterling is an amazing place to buy a home, raise a family and retire.

But that wonderful quality of life is threatened by a tidal wave of illegal immigration that has swamped Northern Virginia.

That crush of garbage, graffiti and blighted homes is aided and abetted by an out-of-touch liberal Board that cares more about not offending felons and gang members than it does about enforcing the law.

Pretending the problem doesn't exist won't make Sterling a better place to live.

I will continue to speak out against crime, blight and those who don't share my goal of keeping Sterling Park a beautiful place to live. Thank you. (end of letter to the Times)

>>>> PLANNING COMMISSIONER HELENA SYSKA BLASTS CRITICS

This statement was sent as a letter to the editor from Helena Syska, longtime community leader and my appointee to the planning commission:

Helena says Partial Quote "Delgaudio understands that the crime rate has surged with the influx of illegal immigrants. "

Syska continues "He is willing to speak up for the truth and to fight for change while others pussyfoot around the underlying causes to the serious issues of safety and security we are seeing not only in Sterling but elsewhere in our County, the nation, and around the world."

" It's a good thing that the County is now in a self-characterized "Era of Transparency." It makes it crystal clear to see the Age of Propaganda around us, and it is not coming from Eugene Delgaudio."

She continues "Those who have once again maligned the Sterling District and its Supervisor would be well advised to take a piece of advice from a line from the classic 1941 film How Green Was My Valley: "Nothing is enough for people who have minds like cesspools. . . I hope when (they're) grown, their tongues will be slower to hurt." They owe Eugene Delgaudio and our community an apology. " (Partial unquote)

THANK YOU HELENA.

AND thank you to all of you for your phone calls, letters, emails and visits over the past eight weeks of continuous media, blogs, letters and public meetings to save Sterling and Loudoun County.
