Free Ice Cream Today

ITS a hot hot day, so drink plenty of water.

I am working on getting the grass cut. From driving around in the heat totday and yesterday, my survey results show more than half of the houses that complaints were filed against have been cut.

That's over 100 houses have conformed with the law in the last 2 weeks due to your actions, my complaints being filed, and the cooperation of adhoc volunteers,staff and county officials. THANK YOU.

There are houses that remain and that is where volunteers are demanding that the county allow them to do the job "with permission"

This coming June 17 board meeting there is Delgaudio sponsored-legislation for formally allowing volunteers to legally cut grass by some process so that volunteers can be utilized to cut the grass where paid staff can not get to it. I hope a majority of the board agree that it is okay for citizens to volunteer to cut grass in Sterling and in Loudoun County.

The rest of the county has over 200 houses with this problem and that is in a majority of districts.

The county has set July 22 as the "tentative" date for the board of supervisors to meet at Park View High School to hear recommendations on how to address nearly unanimous outcry from Sterling Park residents to fix the quality of life issues. It will probably be at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday July 22. I will keep you informed.
