Turnout and see P.S.

October 31, 1999

Over and over again I predicted high turnout at the Spring Republican Primary and I was ignored.

You did not ignore this and other key Republican leaders like then Republican-District chairman Patricia Phillips trained dozens of volunteers in response.

The result was that Republicans conducted a fair and ORGANIZED primary in Sterling District. Most others were amazed at the turnout.

But the great people of Sterling District were prepared.

Once again, I will now tell you: there will be a better than average turnout. All the predictions of low turnout are wrong.

So, for those of you who have volunteered, get your rest now. For those of you who think you can do something else on Election Day, please re-consider and volunteer.

Whether or not, you can work E-Day, come to the party on E-night.

I want you to be at the joint Delgaudio / Black Victory Party on Tuesday night starting at 7:30 p.m. at Glory Days Restaurant in the Town Center Shopping Center at Dranesville Road and Route 7. You have been a big part of this important victory. There will be cable TV for results.

p.s. I have received various reports of last minute activities. I appreciate the many calls and letters. If I can I will respond to the emergencies about voting. And if my name is brought up in any way, you know I can answer quickly because that is my job and my commitment. And I want you to look for that. I hope that covers everything for now. Thank you.
