Lovefest Declared A Success

GEORGE ALLEN "LOVE LETTER" REVEALED

(Sterling, Va.) Over 100 voters pledging money and support are converging on That's Amore Restaurant on Wednesday, August 25, 1999 at 7 p.m. to hear state Delegates, local candidates and Loudoun's unopposed Supervisor candidate is declaring it a huge success.

"This GOP Lovefest 1999 is a huge successs. It demonstrates political unity in Loudoun. Statewide leaders have embraced this event with strong expressions of support. State Delegates Richard Black and Jay Katzen are the star speakers but the real stars are the 100 voters who have turned out in record numbers with over $7,500 in donations and pledges, " said Eugene Delgaudio unopposed candidate for Supervisor, Sterling District.

Delgaudio revealed a special "GOP love letter" was sent by George Allen, former Governor of Virginia , in which he wrote to Eugene Delgaudio the following, (in part):

I AM TRULY PLEASED TO SUPPORT YOUR CAMPAIGN.....IT IS INVIGORATING TO SEE A FELLOW REPUBLICAN SO EXCITED ABOUT PROMOTING OUR COMMON-SENSE JEFFERSONIAN CONSERVATIVE PRINCIPLES.

YOUR COMMITMENT TO THE PEOPLE OF LOUDOUN COUNTY WAS EVIDENT IN YOUR TIRELESS FIGHT TO DEFEAT A COUNTY MEALS TAX.....I HOPE THAT YOUR "GOP LOVEFEST" IS SUCCESSFUL.....WORKING TOGETHER WE CAN KEEP LOUDOUN AND VIRGINIA POSITIVELY MOVING FORWARD".
