REALTORS BACK DELGAUDIO

The Dulles Area Association of REALTORS® (DAAR) has endorsed your Sterling Supervisor, Eugene Delgaudio for re-election.

"Each of the candidates endorsed by our association has demonstrated an understanding of the issues confronting the county," Chairman Talbot said. "These candidates offer voters the opportunity to elect a Board of Supervisors willing to put the long-term interests of the county and its residents instead of the special interests of a very vocal minority. Our members look forward to working with the new Board of Supervisors to help ensure that Loudoun County maintains the highest possible quality of life for all its current and future residents."

Thank you, DAAR. Note: our former Planning Commissioner, the late A. Tim Page, was a member of the DAAR.

SCC Extends Comment Period on Greenway Toll Hike

Adds Public Hearing

The State Corporation Commission is still deliberating on the Dulles Greenway's toll hike proposal. The opportunity for comment on the plan has been extended to October 29, 2003. In addition, the SCC will hold two public hearings in Leesburg at the Loudoun County Government Center on December 3, 2003. Here is the link to the SCC's press release for those of you who may wish to make written comments or attend the public hearing: http://www.state.va.us/scc/news/dulleshear.htm.

The Greenway is a privately built road that would not exist without private investors kicking in to build it. There is a $400 million debt financed with private sources and it is the only private road in the United States.
