Memorial Day 2003

Thank you for proudly displaying the American Flag today. More people than ever are doing that. And keep those yellow ribbons up too.

Today there will be a 21 gun salute in memory of those who have fallen in the service of our country. And there will be a brief ceremony to thank ALL of those men and women who have served our country in the Armed Forces.

The ceremony is sponsored by the American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign Wars and will take place from 11 a.m. to 12 noon , today, Monday, May 26 at the Veterans Memorial at Sterling Blvd. and Holly Avenue right next to the Sterling Middle School. The 21 gun salute will take place immediately following the brief ceremony and remarks.
