Safeway Robbery Investigation

Loudoun County, Virginia- The Sheriff's Office is searching for a man
who robbed a 25-year-old female as she walked to her car in a Sterling
parking lot Wednesday night.

Around 10:30 PM the victim left the Safeway grocery store in the 22300
block Sterling Boulevard in Sterling when an unknown Hispanic male came
up from behind her. According to the victim the suspect placed an
unknown object on her back and demanded her purse.

The suspect is described as being 6' tall with a stocky build. He was
wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans at the time of the
incident.

The suspect left in a dark colored, possibly maroon or dark red,
pick-up truck and headed toward the area of Sterling Boulevard.

Anyone with information about this robbery is asked to contact
