LCSO & Virginia State Police to Conduct Joint Sobriety Checkpoint

Loudoun County, VA - The Loudoun County Sheriff's Office and the Virginia State Police will conduct a joint sobriety checkpoint on Friday, September 18, 2015. The sobriety checkpoint will begin shortly after 10PM.

Loudoun County Sheriff Mike Chapman noted that DUI related crashes worked by the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office decreased 39% between 2012 and 2014. "Our enforcement efforts are working," said Sheriff Chapman. "This decrease in DUI related crashes is evidence that fewer people are getting behind the wheel while intoxicated," he added.

Members of the Loudoun Sheriff's Office Auxiliary Unit and volunteers from the Loudoun Chapter of MADD will assist with the checkpoint.
