No April Fool For Budget Cutter
Delgaudio Motions To Cut $Millions Wednesday April 1, 2015

"I am proposing at least 55 motions to be taken up at the April lst Budget Meeting to set the
tax rate and to provide supervisors with some options they have asked for. Some are the same for
them to reconsider their previous votes against them but most of them are new motions to reduce
spending, said Eugene Delgaudio, Sterling District Supervisor.

One new Delgaudio motion is to eliminate the Adult Day Care centers costing $100,000 per client which is entirely unnecessary and not required by any state or federal requirements.

Delgaudio will motion to cut the Childrens Science Center taxpayer subsidy for $250,000 and
move to restore the moratorium for real and personal property tax exemptions by designation for savings of $5,250,000.

This would include the Howard Hughes Institute which, alone, gets $3.5 million in tax exemption from county taxpayers.

Delgaudio will ask membership be suspended in various Regional Organizations like the
Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments, the Northern Virginia Regional Commission and
the Legal Services of Northern Virginia for a savings of hundreds of thousands of dollars.

Delgaudio will provide the board of supervisors and the public with a complete list of 55 cuts prior to the meeting
at 4 p.m.

A sample motion "I move to eliminate the Animal Services Facility for savings of $ 15,495,000."
