Please participate in the Sterling Boulevard Cleanup from 9:00 a.m. to Noon on Saturday, February 7. All participants should come to BRIAR PATCH PARK (located along Sterling Bvld. between Charlotte St. and Frederick Dr.) at 8:45 a.m. to receive orange bags, safety vests, and instructions.

Please bring work gloves!This service project is organized by the Sterling Foundation www.sterlingfoundation.org.

The Loudoun Workforce Resource Center will host "Careers in Care" job fair featuring opportunities in the healthcare industry. The event will be held on Friday, February 13, 2015, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Shenandoah Building, 102 Heritage Way, N.E, in Leesburg.

The job fair is open to the public and there is no cost to participate for either employers or job seekers. Employers in the healthcare industry, with available job openings, may apply to participate in the fair through an online application found at www.loudoun.gov/jobfair .

Delgaudio Invites You: 35th Citizens' Police Academy

Sheriff Michael Chapman told me about the 35th Citizens' Police Academy, which will commence on March 11, 2015. Members of the class will participate in training classes taught by Loudoun County Sheriff's Office personnel. The classes provide an overview of all the aspects of law enforcement within the agency.

The classes are open to Loudoun County residents over the age of 18. To enroll in the Citizen's Police Academy, please contact Emir Bekric at the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office at (703) 737-8238, during normal business hours of 9AM to 5PM. Registration will be on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Loudoun County is once again offering 'free' income tax preparation for low-to-moderate income individuals and families (up to $54,000) through the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program (VITA). We have trained IRS Volunteer Income Tax Preparers who are ready to help you file and process your income tax return for you.
