LCSO to Conduct Sobriety Checkpoint Friday, September 19, 2014

Loudoun County, VA - The Loudoun County Sheriff's Office will conduct a sobriety checkpoint on Friday, September 19th. The sobriety checkpoint will begin at 10PM.

"The checkpoints are designed to discourage impaired driving and we are asking drivers to make the smart choice, don't drink and drive," said Loudoun County Sheriff Mike Chapman.

Members of the Sheriff's Office Auxiliary Unit and volunteers from the Loudoun Chapter of MADD will assist with the checkpoint.


Seasonal Job Fair For Sterling Residents September 26

The Loudoun Workforce Resource Center will host a Seasonal Hiring Job Fair as part of National Workforce Development Month. The job fair will be held Friday, September 26, 2014, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Rust Library, 380 Old Waterford Road, N.W. in Leesburg.

Temporary and part-time employment spikes during the holiday season as retailers and other businesses add staffing to accommodate their seasonal increase in business. Delgaudio Asking "What is Impact of Unaccompanied Alien Children on Loudoun County and LCPS"



On October 1st, Supervisor Delgaudio will ask the Board of Supervisors to direct staff to determine the impact to the County and LCPS budgets and to other County services associated with the Federal Government's recent relocation of 210 unaccompanied alien children (UAC) to Loudoun County and to investigate options to recover these costs from the Federal Government.
