Daylight Savings Tonight Budget $260,000 For Sidewalk in Sterling

REGARDING THE BUDGET

I have made motions to reduce spending at the budget worksession and supported motions to
reduce spending at the worksessions.

This morning is another joint meeting between the Board of Supervisors and the School Board.

I will continue to make motions to reduce spending and support motions to reduce spending.

PROGESS IN STERLING

I received unanimous support to allocate funds received from the sale of the Sterling Annex
building in the amount of $260,000 for small sidewalk projects including the high priority
area on Holly Avenue by the Sterling Middle School.


COMMUNITY EVENTS IN STERLING

Before and after this snowfall, potholes need to be repaired and I would like to hear from anyone concerning any potholes that appear as a result of this storm.

The Park View Basketball and Lacrosse teams will be selling mulch until March 24. Get your orders in.

And Boy Scouts from four different Sterling area troops are selling mulch right now to raise the funds to go to summer adventure camps. Please buy mulch from these young people.

This Saturday at 10 a.m. there will be the Park View Spring Craft & Vendor Show. The Show supports Project Graduation, Fine Arts Boosters and various groups at Park View. No Admission Fee. Saturday, March 8 10am-3pm Park View High School 400 West Laurel Ave Sterling, Va. 20164

Next Wednesday is the Sterling Lion's Club Annual Fundraiser.
On Wednesday, March 12. Cost is $5 per person or $15 per family payable at the door. The menu includes Italian Dinner, pastas, chicken, and more. The Community Dinner is at the Herndon United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall at 701 Bennett Street, Herndon, Va. NO RSVP NEEDED JUST SHOW UP. DINNER IS SERVED AT SIX P.M.
