Whitbeck Wins Mass Meeting In Sterling Tonight

Thank you for coming out tonight to help John Whitbeck win the Republican nomination for State Senator tonight at Park View High School.

Almost 600 fellow Republicans arrived from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. and waited until 8:30 p.m. to finish registering. Voting took place after two speeches and then the counting of the ballots took place.

I addressed the auditorium and thanked voters for returning me four times to represent them on the board of supervisors.

After ballot counting was done, a motion was made to make it unanimous by one of the candidates on the ballot to make John Whitbeck the nominee. This motion passed without objection. And John thanked Sterling voters and all who came to participate in the "mass meeting".
