SHERIFF SEEKS MAN WHO STALKS CHILDREN

The Sheriff is asking the public's help in identifying a man who has been approaching juveniles in Lowes Island and Cascades area of Sterling.

In three separate incidents, the man, who is described as a white man in this 50s with white or grey hair and wrinkles on his face, has been driving a late '90s to early 2000s dark blue pickup truck.

In two incidents, a man fitting the description stalked women and children.

The most recent incident occurred in the early evening hours of Tuesday, Sept. 10. When an older white man driving a blue pickup truck, believed to be the same person, was seen pulling next to a group of children walking along the footpath of Algonkian Parkway. He drove away a short time later.

The sheriff's office continues to investigate leads, but is asking residents with any information on the identity of the man or vehicle to contact either Inv. Tresselt or Sgt. Hunt at 703-777-0475. An email address also has been established to allow leads or information to be submitted directly to the members of the Criminal Investigation Division at crime.info@loudoun.gov.
