LCSO Plans Sobriety Checkpoint for Friday, June 28, 2013

The Loudoun County Sheriff's Office will conduct a sobriety checkpoint on Friday, June 28th.

"Our goal is to ensure the roads are safe for all motorists," said Sheriff Mike Chapman. "The checkpoints are designed to discourage impaired driving and we are asking drivers to make the smart choice, don't drink and drive," Chapman added.

Members of the Sheriff's Office Auxiliary Unit and volunteers from the Loudoun Chapter of MADD will assist with the checkpoint.

I am hosting a breakfast so that we can deliver as many flyers as possible to let people know about the fireworks in Sterling this Saturday night. Thousands of people in the Sterling community gather to watch these fireworks every year.
