Apparent Murder-Suicide

The suspicious deaths of an adult female and her juvenile son is being
investigating at this time as an apparent murder-suicide.

The woman, Denise R. Dibari, 33, and her son Corey Summers, 12, were
found in an upstairs bedroom of their Sterling home Saturday afternoon
after the woman's family contacted authorities when they became
concerned for her welfare.

The family recently learned that the mother was depressed. The
preliminary investigation into the incident suggests the woman took her
son's life before taking her own.

Authorities entered the home in the 100 block of St. Charles Square in
Sterling shortly after 1:10 PM and discovered the mother and son
deceased inside the home.

The incident remains under investigation.
