Don't let the liberal bullies hurt you or your patriotic spirit to pursue the American dream.

October 20, 2011

In a statement to Sterling residents, Eugene Delgaudio said the following:

I am from the government and I want to help you.

The late and great Ronald Reagan always used that line with impact. I believe I have honored him as your Sterling Supervisor for 12 years.

Like Reagan, Congressman Frank Wolf, Senator George Allen, and AG Ken Cuccinelli (photos above), I am working to reverse government growth. Now that's the kind of "government officials" you want.

A "government official" that seeks to privatize or seek free market solutions would help you.

For 12 years, I am your Sterling Supervisor who defends free-market leaders and freedom-loving citizens like yourself. In recent days the outcry of leftists extremists is loud: "kill the bankers, redistribute the wealth" they chant.

Please do not let liberal bullies intimidate you. I do hope to hear from you. I fear you may be hurt by these liberal threats against you and all of us who simply work to make a living for our families.

None of these threats are directed "personally" just at anybody who believes in free enterprise.

Don't let the liberal bullies hurt you or your patriotic spirit to pursue the American dream.

It would only encourage them to do worse to you and to other innocent victims and our freedoms.

COUNTY SUPERVISORS DROP KICK BUSINESS LEADERS?

And in Leesburg-- your Loudoun County Board of supervisors-- hears and considers condemnations of business leaders.

Frequent and public attacks on business leaders did not start with OCCUPY WALL STREET in recent days and weeks.

It started in the Board of Supervisors in Loudoun County with this "Obama Board".

Never in the history of our county or country has there been such a determined effort to punish dedicated free market leaders who represent what's right about our United States of America.

The pursuit of profit and prosperity is what makes America a great nation.

To attack free market leaders and business spokesman in Leesburg-- our local seat of government-- or on Wall Street-- is an attack on all our freedoms.

You must join me.

Please do not stand by and allow these liberal bullies to pound business leaders who hold the hope for our future as a free nation.

And please do not allow them to silence you or your voice.

Our survival against these dangerous or misguided forces who seek to destroy your business and all our freedoms depends on it.

I am working 18 hour days defending your right to profit and prosperity as a member of the Board of Supervisors for the past 12 years and the costs being heaped upon you by liberals on the Loudoun Board will double your costs and deplete your savings if I am defeated. My opponent is on board to vote for all the crazy spending schemes being considered.

Please donate to my fourth re-election bid so I can continue to be a voice and a sure vote against truly excessive over-regulation and increased spending for unnecessary projects. All proceeds go directly to the re-election budget.

Thank you for your help. I will not let you down.

Please send $100, $50 or $25 now. You will appear on no list or disclsure. Over 1,000 constributers have done this. Please join them. No one will know that you donated to me, your identity will be kept confidential.

And a new pro-freedom majority will ensure these attacks end. Thank you again.

If you donate ABOVE $100, the law requires me to ask your employment and employer and place of business and to report that gift. Over 77 major donors have done that. Please join them if you can. Thank you.

BILLIONS OF YOUR DOLLARS IN SPENDING AND REGULATION COSTS ADDED EVERY YEAR.

Can you afford to donate $100, $50 or $25 now to oppose this out of control monstrosity?

I hope all is well with you. I know you are very busy. I have been going door to door seeking to win enough votes to be re-elected by the 40,000 residents in Sterling District and that keeps me out until 9 p.m. daily.

I call the current board of Supervisors "The Obama Board" because they rush to increase regulations, spending and taxes and believe taxpayers in Loudoun do not pay enough in taxes.

Not only that, this board has ochestrated and frequently hosted assaults in public on business leaders and spokesmen and spokesladies who simply come and give professional written testimony about what other business leaders think or say.

Top business leaders have been brought into the public gallows and condemned by members of the Loudoun County board of supervisors by name and accused of crimes, undue influence and illegal acts on a routine basis.

I assure you their only "crime" has been to go to a microphone and comment in public about policies. Or have legal proposals or legal contracts. And honest men and women who simply volunteer thousands of hours -- at our request --- to specifically express their opinion on how to attract business-- are condemned by members of this board of supervisors.

Madness. Sheer madness.

I believe the real master plan for these leftist anti-free market supervisors is to stiffle our freedoms, silence critcism and continue uninterrupted their march to increase local taxes and local regulation so they have more power over your lives and all of our lives.

At the time the new President was sworn in, the board voted 8 to 1 to embrace $850,000,000.00 in spending in Loudoun county for shovel ready projects without a single public hearing. Your Loudoun supervisors voted to nearly double spending in our county with one vote.

With this type of endorsement, our country went into a spiral of debt. And our county supervisors voted 8 to 1 to instruct the federal government to impose a nearly one billion dollar debt on each Loudoun citizen.

I condemned it and alerted a nation. That was 2 years ago.

As further examples, they considered expelling the Redskins football team but then relented. They are considering a massive Chesapeake Bay Ordinance (that's 200 miles from here) that would have cost homeowners $5,000 in "mitigation" to do any improvement to their home ever.

This same board halted all road improvements in Sterling by ordering county staff to work to design a new law for 39 GOLF CART OWNERS to drive on public streets.

Loudoun Supervisors Voted To Impose A Multi-Billion Dollar Burden Last Night

The board just --last night--- voted to pass new regulations for 41 private citizens who responded to "survey" that would completely stall all road, pedestrian, bicylcle and sidewalk improvements in the county for ten years.

I implored them "It took five years to build 300 feet of sidewalk" and told them "It is taking six years to build one dedicated turn lane in Sterling due to regulations." The board committee overroad my objections.

The board is being asked to put in a new Geo Thermo Tax Overlay District -- in Eastern Loudoun which would impose a new $50,000 debt on each house in order to build "geo-thermo" systems.

Every meeting there are new proposals for this "Obama Board" to consider.

THIS (above) IS ONLY A PARTIAL LIST.

Don't expect any "revelations" in the news media. They look the other way.

Attacks on business leaders who deplore these massive costs pour forth from the Board dais like cannon fire directed with murderous results on creative ideas, investment proposals and new economic productivity.

The mean spirited words cut down and demoralize private financial relief in the form of new companies, expansion of the commercial tax base and destroy incentives for jobs, growth and increased opportunity.

Only a massive outcry on election day can reverse these policies or keep this kind of over regulation spending in check and to reverse it!

Liberals in the board of supervisors consider new proposals for spending or regulations at every meeting.

If you believe you are taxed too little and that more regulations are needed, this is your kind of board of supervisors.

Unfortunately, there are residents in Loudoun who enjoy more spending and benefit from increased county, state and national government.

On the other hand if you believe we need less regulations not more, and less taxes and less spending than you should support me for re-election to a 4th term.

I oppose and speak against this new spending and excessive regulation which costs us jobs.

I propose private alternatives and funding that does not raise taxes but provides faster and cheaper costing services.

For example, I have saved the county $100 million over the past 12 years by pushing and getting passed with the support of a majority of citizens, solutions as simple as collecting "late fees" at libraries, "admission fees" for using public pools, combining building contracts for schools, limiting new borrowing for county improvements, selling surplus county properties with no planned uses and many other ideas.

One "Delgaudio idea" is to increase road building -- without a tax increase-- using a community development authority ("CDA") which finances the building of commercial business-- which they agree in advance -- to pay and build more roads.

But liberals condemn this as a "non-starter" and ignore the $70 million road network around the Dulles Town Center -- built with a "CDA."

There are many alternatives to building government monopolies and installing expensive job-killing regulations on all of us.

Right now, I face an army of out of town liberals from union headquarters in Washington and demonstrators have marched in Sterling to silence me and others.

Please call me if you wish to discuss this at 703-421-4599 or write me at my email eugene@joineugene.com.

Or we can exchange cell phone numbers and talk at your convenience.

Please do not wait. On election day you can keep me as your voice of reason on the Loudoun Board of supervisors
