Honor Roll Awards Total $58,884
SUPERVISOR DELGAUDIO PRESENTS 731 HONOR STUDENTS SPECIAL AWARDS IN STERLING
Supervisor Eugene Delgaudio accepted $58,884 in gifts for students this
week and said "I am excited about the wonderful response that has been
forthcoming from Sterling business owners who care about the young
people of Sterling and are doing something about it."
Each honor roll student is receiving a signed letter of commendation
from Supervisor Eugene Delgaudio (R-Sterling) and a collection of awards
and gift cards from the fund drive.
Supervisor Eugene Delgaudio announced the sucessful effort at the Board
of Supervisors meeting today and added: "It is extremely timely as we
enter the final marking period for these students. Twelve companies are
presenting 731 students with $58,884.00 in face value on gift cards,
passes, and discounts."
Each of the 421 honor students at Park View High School are receiving
the following this week:
* a $46 value gift certificate for free 18 Hole Green Fees for the
student and a parent plus a free logo Ball and Tees along with a Free
Hot Dog and Fountain Drink at the 19th hole at the Sterling Golf Club
and and a bus pass good for unlimited rides on Virginia Regional Transit.
Each of the 421 honor students at Park View High School and the 310
honor roll students at Sterling Middle School for a total of 731
students are receiving:
* a gift card for a complimentary half pound cheeseburger at the
Clubhouse Grill in the community plaza
* a gift card for a free chicken sandwich at Chick-fil-A of Sugarland
Crossing
* "complimentary pizza cards" from Papa John's Pizza,Omia's Restaurante
of West Church Road, Jerry's Subs and Pizza of Sterling Plaza, and diner
cards from Silver Diner in Herndon.
* achievement awards good for a discount at Books A Million; free
appetizer or ice cream cards at Glory Days Grill in Sterling.
Two top students received gift cards for dinner at the Pacific Restaurant.
"I am honored that these 12 Sterling business owners have extened this
recognition to the students, parents, teachers and administrators of
Sterling Middle School and Park View High School. It is a great
partnership," said Delgaudio.
