Sterling: Save Christmas In July

July 16, 2010

Dear Sterling American,

The Board has scheduled a time certain (10 a.m. Tuesday July 20) for consideration of the ban on religious expression on the Courthouse Grounds.

Some newspapers have reported this. Over 100 citizens have written or called in protest.

25 citizens have signed up for speaking against it on Monday 7 p.m. July 19 in the board room.

People can call the following number to "sign up" to speak at the Public Input meeting until noon on Monday, July 19th : 703-777-0204

You can also write the 9 member board at [email protected]

A petition has been started with a goal of 2500 signatures and is located at http://www.thepetitionsite.com/1/Keep-Christmas-in-Leesburg/246174956/taf

Board members could have rejected the proposal to abolish religious freedom on the grounds of the Courthouse. I asked them to state it for the record during the July 7 meeting.

The board can legally take action at 10 a.m. Tuesday July 20.

This is the last chance for you to speak on religious liberty in Loudoun.

Speak now to save religious freedom. Sign the petition. Send a letter on the internet. Or come Monday and be part of the support by attendence or speaking.
