>>> CARS ON LAWNS AT DEC. 7 PUBLIC HEARING
We have waited years for this.
On December 7, 2009 the Board of Supervisors will hold a public hearing regarding the Zoning Ordinance Amendment (ZOAM) 2009-0002", Parking and Paving Restrictions in Yard Areas.
The amendment proposes to restrict the parking of vehicles in
yards, on unpaved surfaces, and limit the amount of paved parking
surface permitted in yards.
The public hearing will begin at 6:30PM and will be held in the
Board Room located on the 1st floor of the Loudoun County
Government Center at 1 Harrison Street, S.E. in Leesburg,

This proposed amendment is intended to address some of the key issues raised during the Potomac/Sterling Outreach project that occurred from February through October of 2008 when over 1,000 Sterling citizens turned out for four (4) nights over a 2 week period to repeatedly demand county action.
Sterling residents have publicly demanded action on this type of neglect by the county for years.
Along with overcrowding, garbage, illegal aliens, crime, tall grass, blight, and abandoned vehicles, this is right up on the list of top ten safety, health and welfare issues that impact our quality of life.
>>>>DELGAUDIO NEWSLETTER IN MAIL CRITICAL OF CARS ON LAWNS
Thousands of letters have been written to many Sterling residents from me, and the entire district is receiving a newsletter on this topic. Over 1200 citizens in Sterling have signed a petition asking for this ordinance.
I also give frequent interviews to media and statements here in this letter.
The "Delgaudio Report" warns citizens that an ineffective ordinance will make matters worse in Sterling.
Please write the Board of Supervisors at [email protected] to register your opinion again. AND put "Pass The No Cars On Lawn Ordinance (ZOAM) 2009-0002" in the subject heading. All 9 supervisors will get the message.
>>> NATIVITY AND MENORAHS BANNED AT THE LEESBURG
COURTHOUSE
For decades and decades the local Rotary Club would place a nativity and lit menorah at the courthouse. Now scrooge like functionaries at the courthouse, fearing civil rights attack, are banning all displays.
Senior Loudoun Delegate Joe May took to the NBC TV News
broadcast last night and condemned it. He said to thousands of area
residents "The legislature of Virginia decided to not consider this
kind of action so why does Leesburg take this action?"
(sic).
To reverse this wrongful act, please write [email protected] or comment during public comment Monday 6:30 p.m. November 30 at the board of supervisors. We devote the entire Monday evening to listening.
