>>> I C E "On the Record" About Mancia-Morales

US Immigration & Customs Enforcement spoke with the Loudoun Independent about the deportation and criminal history of Arnold Mancia-Morales, recently sentenced to life in prison for the violent assault of a Sterling woman.

After listing the many times this criminal was caught and detained and released, the newspaper article concludes:

Local police and U.S. Immigration agents must enjoy a symbiotic relationship, often working in tandem to capture, flag, and deport illegals. Arnold Mancia-Morales has 5 mug shots, a host of aliases, and only one deportation. The mystery remains and the investigation continues

Please encourage the newspaper to continue its investigation. Sterling and all of Loudoun is counting on it.

Write the editor [email protected] and encourage them to investigate how many
illegal alien criminals are not followed up on?

>>>>Baseball in Loudoun? Update

There is a proposed minor league stadium that would seat 5,500 attendents. (I do support minor league baseball coming to Loudoun).

Staff reports no outstanding issues in their latest report. The Board considered the environmental issues at a special meeting of the Land Use committee yesterday (Monday). The proposal has been sent to the July 21 business meeting. There is a public input Monday July 6 and July 20 where the public has opportunities to speak on the topic of a minor league baseball stadium being at Route 28 and route 7. other localities for the franchise.

>>> TAXPAYERS WILL GET REIMBURSED FOR FIXING BURNED OUT HOUSE!

In answer to one question about the burned out house on Acorn Court: if the county has to tear down the house a court imposed lien will be placed on the house so that the taxpayers are reimbursed for the costs.
The board spent 2 long years just on the process of getting laws passed and various public hearings. I have seen and neighbors have seen a change in that situation and news will be forthcoming once the county prepares a report to the board.
