Attempted Abduction
>>STERLING PARK MALL ATTEMPTED ABDUCTION
The Loudoun County Sheriff's Office is investigating a
reported attempted abduction that occurred Monday afternoon in
Sterling Park Monday afternoon.
An 18-year-old female reported she was walking
near the rear of the Sterling Park Mall around 4:30 p.m. when an
unknown subject asked her for directions. As the victim approached
the man's vehicle he attempted to pull her into the SUV. The victim
screamed and fought back. The suspect then released the victim and
left the scene. The victim also left the scene and contacted
authorities to report the incident around 6:15 p.m.

The suspect is described as a Black male, 35 to 40-years-old, with
a thin build. He was further described as being unshaven. He was
wearing a blue polo style shirt and a black hat with lettering.
The suspect was driving an older model black SUV with dull faded
paint. The vehicle was also said to have oxidation spots where the
paint had faded on the passenger side of the vehicle. The suspect
may also have recent facial injuries.
