Snow Alert-- Missing Teen

February 28, 2009

>>> SNOW ALERT

The National.Weather Service in Sterling has issued a winter advisory warning of a snow storm with accumulations of five inches of snow for Sunday afternoon.
>>>LAST BUDGET HEARING TODAY 10 A.M. TO 3 PM.?

I have been at budget hearings listening to many citizens request that their program not be reduced due to the proposed budget reductions. I will be at the 3rd round of hearings this morning and afternoon being held at the School administration buidling in Ashburn. Yes, this the same building that was built with 45 million dollars of your money after voters said "no" to it being built in the first place.

Everytime I go into that School Building I remember many of your votes NOT to build that massive monument to "Administration" not teaching.

What is especially ironic is that the School Superintendent (I wrote about this earlier in the week) needs to travel 49 days of the year and even he seems to not like the School Administration building either.

>>>MISSING TEEN IN FAIRFAX COUNTY, Prayers and Help needed.

Sterling Americans make miracles happen and the entire region knows how we are a together group.

Kathleen Barba is looking for her missing teen daughter Vera missing since Feb.16. She attends Paul VI HS.

She wrote me this morning:

I'm looking for volunteers this weekend to walk around the locations Vera has recently been seen.  We can set up shifts and I will also provide a photo for you to use if you want to ask if people have seen Vera.

Right now the locations would be Fair Oaks Mall, Hunter Woods Shopping Center in Reston.

Another possible thought would be to go to Reston Town Center and Fairfax Town Center in the evenings.

There are many parents in this area that know the child and anyone can assist others by joining them in looking for the child. The photo for the freshman teen girl is posted "Vera Barba" of Reston on the National NCMEC.COM website (National Center for Missing and Exploited Children).

Call Kathleen, the mother, 703-716-7235 (h)703-861-1096 (c) if you can volunteer any time.
