Kathleen Barba of Reston writes:

(QUOTE) Thank you very much for all of your help, support and prayers.  Vera has been found! She is in a safe place right now.  Considering what's happened the past two weeks she is a potential flight risk.  We pray that won't happen but if something comes up I may contact you again for help.  I really don't have a lot of details to share at this time.

I hope you understand if I don't reach out to you right away because my priority is Vera and figuring out where we go from here.

Thank you again and keep us in your prayers. (UNQUOTE)

Regarding the technical glitches: a lot of emails are so urgent that the larger groups don't respond as quickly as parents mobilizing their own neighbors and email and family contacts.

This was clearly the case. Many Sterling Americans were mobilized with this system and were ready for duty. I obtained more information from authorities and was ready to send it out today. Thanks to friends of the Barba family including Sterling's Planning Commissioner Helena Syska who jumped in.

It will not be necessary, but Sterling Americans are not alone in moving fast around here. And Sterling Americans are considered team members in the greater Northern Virginia community. Congratulations to all who were ready to take action. "Vera has been found!"
