The thunderstorm came and went earlier today. This is a reminder about tonight's meeting at 6:30 p.m. The sign up for speaking begins at 6 p.m. I will be there at 5:45 p.m. and will not leave until everybody gets a chance to tell me what's on their mind.

The format is "Sign in; Staff presentation on public comments from May and preliminary report; public comment on the staff report; board of supervisors comment. They plan on adjourning 9 p.m. due the board meeting on 9 a.m. Wednesday all day (not Tuesday as I reported incorrectly).

WTOP And NBC 4 TV News At 5

WTOP News Radio is reporting this meeting all morning and afternoon. NBC TV news has a report at 5 p.m. today after interviewing residents in Sterling.

Please be respectful to all news media, elected officials, county staff and your neighbors. There is disagreement and that is normal.

The focus is passing legislation and obtaining community cooperation to improve Sterling. The split or divide is between those who want to ignore the errosion of our quality of life and those who are expecting a county response to this erosion.
