Storm Passes

I hope all is well with you all. From 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sterling was hit with thunderstorms, rain, lightning, tornado warnings and finally some parts of Sterling and the entire area were thrown into darkness with the loss of electricity.

I received 24 weather alerts yesterday June 4 which is a record.  There are trees down, and lots of cleanup going on. Please check on your neighbors and save each other some time by sharing some errands.

I went to a few houses to check on people, loan extra flashlights to neighbors and drove the entire district to access damage.

There were a lot of cancellations due to the weather and travel was hard for all of us.

The following Loudoun schools will be closed today, Thursday June 5, due to power outages: Aldie ES, Banneker ES, Middleburg ES, Lucketts ES, Waterford ES, and Sterling Schools: Forest Grove ES, Sully ES.
