NEW TRAFFIC PATTERN AT HOLLY AVENUE

VODT changed the road pattern at Holly. I requested this improvement.

Now we have a new pattern to deal with. You get action with me as your
Supervisor. Now lets give this some days to get used to.

Until they get the signs there, here's the official warning from the
Sheriff.

The Sheriff's Office is reminding motorists
to be aware of changes to traffic patterns in the Sterling area.

This week new signs were placed in the right hand lane of Holly Avenue
at the intersection of Sterling Boulevard making the lanes right turn
only.

The left hand lane is for thru traffic and left hand turns.
Previously motorists were able to cross Sterling Boulevard from the
right lanes along both sides of Holly Avenue.

Motorists who disobey these signs could be ticketed for improper turn
or failure to obey a highway sign.

The Sheriff's Office Traffic Safety Unit reminds motorists that the
many roadways throughout the county change patterns for either
construction or newly developed roadways. Drivers should remain
attentive for highway signs alerting them to new traffic designs or
patterns.
