Campaign Milestone Met
To those of you who pulled for me in recent weeks: Thanks. Some of you came out at dawn in a snow storm. Some of you made public statements or just wrote words of encouragement. Many of you wrote generous checks of support. Thank you.
I did not know where I would go without your help. I turned to you at the very end and shared with you my deadline. You saved my scalp. Whew.
This deadline was December 31st, 2002. And with your donation, the Friends of Delgaudio Committee has now met its goal.
Here is today's news release. Please know my statement of appreciation is extended to you and your family.
Sincerely,
Eugene Delgaudio
Sterling Supervisor Files Campaign Report Early
$35, 247.00 "Early Money" Raised, Sets Record
Today, Monday, January 13, Supervisor Eugene Delgaudio (R-Sterling) filed his Year End Campaign Finance Report two days prior to the January 15 filing deadline."$35, 247.00 is a record amount of money to raise this early and in keeping with the early support, I am filing this report early, too." said Delgaudio.
"I have stood against tax increases, county trips out of state, and tax dollars for the rich. In concert with the Republican Party leadership, I have spotlighted boondoggles locally and in Richmond. 5,000 internet subscriptions, responses to my door to door legislative surveys and now this financial support, show a united Sterling working with me and supporting me. I am grateful, " said Delgaudio.
In an impressive display of grassroots support, Delgaudio's record-setting fund- raising was made possible by the over 350 contributors of under $100 to his campaign.
Delgaudio has set a goal of a $70,000.00 budget for his 2003 campaign says "we are a little over half way to this goal at present."
