Community Turns Out

May 21, 2006

>>> THE COMMUNITY TURNS OUT.

Thousands of citizens have filled the McLean Bible Church twice in
recent days and traffic has stood still for the funeral processions for
the fallen police officers who were killed in Chantilly in the line of
duty. Senator Ken Cuccinelli gave a eulogy at the 2nd of the services.

The procession was a big outpouring of support and well deserved as
miles of roadway was cleared and tens of thousands of drivers
respectfully observed by pulling to the side or watching from side roads.

Please Support the Families of Fairfax County Police Detective Vicky

>>> CONGRESSIONAL DISTRICT REPUBLICAN COMMITTEE DOMINATED BY LIBERALS

For an account on what happens to a "Republican Committee" dominated by
liberals who allow liberal Democrats who give thousands of dollars to
liberal Democrats, to vote and participate in Republican Party
proceedings, just go to this website. It includes an account of how a
vote on allowing Democrats into the Congressional District Committee was
ruled "out of order".

Last week in the pouring rain the Sully PTO held a fundraising reception

offered assistance of her considerable network to the Sully PTO which
caused a great deal of excitment. Reps from the Loudoun County
Sanitation Authority gave a well recieved presentation of their
playground panels.

>>> BOARD ASKS VDOT TO CORRECT LIGHT
>>> 28,000 DOLLARS FOR ANOTHER SIDEWALK

The board of supervisors unanimously asked VDOT to slow down "traffic
calming" on Holly Road at my request. Let's not go narrowing the
roadways before correcting the new traffic light that keeps people
waiting a half hour at a time. Lets actually understand the trouble at
that intersection before moving in the wrong direction, further slowing
down people who are a stand still right now.

And the board, unanimously, approved my legislation to put a matching
sidewalk to join the nice new sidewalk at Church Road and Sterling
Boulevard on the south side. Thank you.

>>> ROLLING RIDGE PTO CARNIVAL

The Rolling Ridge Elementary School in Sterling Park, on East Frederick
Drive- right next to my house-- is holding a free carnival from 10 a.m.
to 2 p.m. Saturday, June 3. The event will include two Moon Bounces, a
dunk tank, games, sno cones, cotton candy, hot dogs and other
activities. Of course, I will be there.

>>>COMMENTARY BY A REPUBLICAN
>>> WILL LIBERALS MAKE YOU CAVE IN?

The Loudoun County Republican committee (see meeting notice upfront)
has angered at least one liberal newspaper in recent days because ( for
three months) it refuses to allow some Rich Democrats to join the
Republican Committee.

You KNOW you are doing something right when a liberal reporter wants to
"expose" Republicans for keeping liberal Democrats from controling your
political life.

BIG FLASH: REAL REPUBLICANS DON'T VOTE LIBERAL
