Loudoun County Sheriff's Office Investigates Hit and Run Accident

PLEASE be extra careful around a "dark blue Ford F150 pick-up" in the Sterling area, possibly an early 1990's model. The subject's vehicle should have damage to the front and rear bumper. Report it if you can.

Here is the full report from the authorities: Earlier today, Friday, December 27, 2002 "at approximately 2:57 AM Loudoun County Sheriff's Deputies responded to the area of Holiday Drive and Shaw Road in Sterling, VA for a report of a hit and run accident.

Upon arrival deputies learned that a Ford pick-up truck had struck a 1988 silver Porsche driven by a 32-year-old Sterling, VA man. The victim began to follow the pick-up south on Shaw Road at which time the truck came to a stop in the middle of the roadway.

At this time the truck reversed into the victim's vehicle causing damage to the front bumper and hood of the automobile. The victim then exited his vehicle and was uninjured in the incident. The vehicle also sustained damage to the front left quarter-panel from the initial incident. Damage to the vehicle is estimated at $3300.00.

A check of the area for the vehicle was conducted with negative results. A lookout was also broadcast for the vehicle.

The vehicle is described as a dark blue Ford F150 pick-up, possible an early 1990's model. The subject's vehicle should have damage to the front and rear bumper. " (unquote)
