Big Turnout At Presidential Canvass, Scott Walker Wins 43%


Sterling voters turned out in a 2 hour "presidential canvass" at Joe's
Pizza restaurant responding to a call by Supervisor Eugene Delgaudio and
voted for Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker for President.

Loudoun Women's Republican Club president Jan Hollingshead announced the vote
totals after out with voting taking place from 1 to 3 p.m.

Here are the top vote totals as a percentage

Scott Walker, 43%
Ted Cruz, 12%
Dr. Ben Carson, 10%
Carly Fiorina 6%
Jeb Bush 6%
Marco Rubio 4%
Mike Huckabee 4%
John Kasich 2%
Sarah Palin 2%
Rick Santorum 2%
Rand Paul 1%


"Congratulations to the winner of the Sterling Presidential Canvass, Gov. Scott Walker
as he travels to Virginia Monday for a Republican party of Virginia event. Thank you
to the many voters who turned out to make this a successful event today," said Supervisor
Eugene Delgaudio.

Among candidates and elected officials who spoke or were introduced or cheered: Senator Richard Black, Treasurer Roger Zurn, Commissioner of Revenue Bob Wertz, Supervisor Ken Reid, former Sheriff candidate Eric Noble, Chairman candidate Charles King, Delegate Randy Minchew,David LaRock, Virginia Senate Candidate Stephen Hollingshead, and Delegate candidate Danny Vargas.
