TOP CANDIDATES CONFIRMED FOR SUNDAY

Charles King GOP candidate for chairman of the board of supervisors, Treasurer Roger Zurn, Commissioner of the Revenue Bob Wertz, Commonwealth Attorney Jim Plowman, Senator Dick Black and Senator candidate Stephen Hollingshead, Delegates Randy Michew, David Larock, Delegate candidate Danny Vargas (PARTIAL LIST) are coming Sunday May 17 to the Presidential Canvass at Joe's Pizza, in on Sterling Blvd. next to the safeway and opposite the Lower Loudoun Football League's Allen Field.

Loudoun Woman's Republican Club president Jan Hollingshead has agreed to appoint a committee to count the votes for President of the United States at the Presidential Canvass.

FIRE - RESCUE STATION ON TRACK FOR NEW BUILDING

The board of supervisors signed a sales contract to purchase a parcel next to the current Sterling Fire House so expansion plans can now be finalized. Thank you board of supervisors.

Rust And Ramadan and VDOT Revitalize Roads

Delegates Tom Rust (senior member and Chairman of the Transportation Committee of the House) and David Ramadan (both have announced their retirement) secured funding in response to the needs of Sterling residents for paving worn streets and $4 million is being used to repave 30 to 40 year old streets in Sterling along with Sterling Boulevard. Thank you Delegates.

NEW ACCELERATION RAMP A MILE LONG FOR STERLING

I attended ceremonies finally beginning the construction of a long sought after acceleration ramp for Sterling Boulevard and Route 28 Monday with area leaders. This will allow Sterling residents to safely enter Route 28 southbound and add an entire lane for a mile and more. Thank you Route 28 Tax District landowners who contribute a dedicated tax.
